A Career in Research or in Industry?

An Impetus for Orientation

After completing the doctorate, many graduates ask themselves the following question: What happens next ... Am I striving for a professional career in research or rather in industry...?

The aim of this impulse workshop is to give participants an initial orientation and to provide impulses for any further engagement with the topic of “future career paths”.

Which positive or negative ascriptions are associated with one or the other of these career paths?
Are there any personal characteristics that facilitate a career in one of the areas (model of career anchors according to Edgar H. Schein)? How can applicants avoid possible pitfalls?

Due to the ongoing developments concerning the corona virus, this workshop takes place online.
